QUESTION: what would you say is the best way to progress your skiing to get spancerized? P.S. the hat is comfy.
ANSWER: Hey Nikolai Glad to hear that Electric beanie is keepin you warm. I think the best way to progress your skiing is by skiing with people that are better than you. It pushes you to reach the level that they are at. I think people get too wrapped up in the whole sponsorship thing, my advice would be to just have fun and ski and opportunities may present themself. The most important thing is that you just have fun skiing and not get wrapped up in worrying about all that. Have a good season. Cheers

QUESTION: i was hitting a jump on the downhill run the other day and hd a huge wipe out. what's the best way to land it?
ANSWER: Well Jack...skiing fast takes lots of focus and coming into a jump you need to be aggressive with your move forward and down. It's all in the approach. Come up in your stance with even weight on both skis, keep your arms in front of you and right as you're about to go over the roller or off the jump, press down. Balance is the most important. Check out some footage of me doing that on www.daronrahlves.com The goal is to suck it up and get back to the ground as early as possible. The more you stay on the snow the faster you go, but flying off a big jump is a good feeling. Start with small jumps at slower speeds then increase the size of the jump and go faster. Have fun! Good luck and keep the bases down.

QUESTION: Whats the best thing someone could do to get sponsered?
ANSWER: The best thing someone can do to get sponsored is to develop your skiing abilities to the highest level. If you posses the highest level of skiing ability, it will gain recognition. Look at the best pros and become as good as or better than them. That will eventually gain recognition and the recognition will eventually get you sponsored.

QUESTION: yo CR, i hit some jumps with you at COC one day , but yea i live here in North Carolina just started ridin for high socity skis . My goal right now is to finish highschool and try to go pro because i love shreding and i want to pursue as a career but know one really notices me way out here in NC. I dont really know what to do from here I have tried everything. I have a top rated picture of me on NS of me flipin onto a rail and got a small video on youtube but i just havnt been found and i just need some advice or help just to take my skiing to the next level thanks buddy
ANSWER: I imagine it is hard to gain recognition out in NC. I know people are skiing out there, but there isn't a huge "ski scene." If you are pushing park, my suggestion to gain recognition is to enter big comps like the US Open or X-Games qualifiers. Then you can qualify for comps like the X-Games. When you go to a comp like the X-Games and do well, you will gain recognition. The best suggestion I can make to you to is to progress your skiing to a level that is undeniable. Once you are as good as or better than all of the professional skiers out there, you will gain your recognition. Opposed to being worried about being recognized, focus on being as good as you possibly can. Then take your skiing to a place where there is a big ski scene, like Colorado and show every body what's up... while maintaining modesty of course. If you are really trying to do this as your carrier and with your life, move to a place that has the best skiing and skiers. Then you can progress with them and move forward yourself. I know it is a big move, but that is what you will have to eventually do. CR
