QUESTION: I was thinking of trying something new and take it a step further from skiing park with my anthems and try backcountry. i always wanted to have the ability to ski the knee-deep smoothly and in-control is there any ski u suggest for me just starting out skiing powder.???? see the hill were i live has only like a 200 m vertical, and is dead center in canada, so we dont get any powder. But once i turn 18 im heading out to the kooteneys for a year or two and ive been to fernie so i know how hard powder can be if its new to you, so also do u have any tips on how to ski powder??? Thank you, Riley Kruz

ANSWER: I would suggest two different skis for powder. It really depends on what kind of ski you are looking for, playful or aggressive. If you want a really fun playful pow ski, get the VCT from 4FRNT. It is a great ski in all conditions and everywhere on the mountain too. If you are looking for an aggressive pow ski, get the EHP from 4FRNT. It is the most fun pow ski and is good for other conditions as well. I just started riding 4FRNTs and they are far and away the best skis I have ever tried. I had no idea skis could be so good and fun. It changed the whole sport of skiing for me to get on 4FRNTs. The best suggestion I can give you for pow technique is to be strong and ski aggressive. Powder will have its way with you unless you have your way with it. Be aggressive and attack your shreding. Enjoy it. CR

QUESTION: Hi CR, I know you're the guy who has the experience in skiing world. First of all, I ski just for fun. I started when I was 2 and never stoped. But I don't want to get sponsored I just love the way I lead my life now, and don't want to be a pro. I just love it and, I am working with Giro for two month now,and I would love to involve with a skiing company, I want to work in the skiing world. I just need to know how to get internships or jobs close to the athletes, or into the skiing community. Sorry bro for my english I am from France. Keep skiing and have fun CR. Thanks

ANSWER: First of all, to enjoy skiing simply as a sport and pursue it for the love you have for doing it is a beautiful quality of life. If you are trying to work within the ski industry, here are some suggestions; Consider what companies you want to work with. Maybe a French company or maybe and American company. Contact those company and see if they are in need of someone to work with French or European athletes. Perhaps an American company needs someone in France who can be close to the European athletes. Maybe they need someone who can give them a good idea of what athletes are coming up over there. Someone who can be in touch with those athletes about getting them on the product and to keep them motivated to work hard. You can set up photo shoots and other arrangements to get the athletes publication opportunity. Think about what you have to offer the company and then call them and ask if they need someone to do that for them. Best of luck with it, CR

QUESTION: Hi I had just asked you about seeing some pictures of you on K2 skis even though you are on Moment. I just wanted to say thank you for the email back and I ski tahoe so I see a bunch of moment skis and have even met one of the riders and I agree they are some of the best skis I have seen on the hill. How wide is your pro model? Also what do you think of the reno jib skis? -Thank you, Aidan Lee

ANSWER: Hey Aiden, To be honest I havn't tried the Reno Jib's yet they look super fun for buttering and jibbing, but maybe not the best all mountain ski. My ski is 115 underfoot (143 tip, 136 tail) with a bit of reverse camber on the tip and tail, its a bouncy ski for skiing powder and also does well on slushy days. I have been riding it quite a bit everywhere and it's my favourite ski I have ever been on. I will be coaching at Momentum this summer so come up and try some up there if you can, I am trying to get a few demo's at the camp. Thanks for writing in, happy shredding!

QUESTION: Josh Bibby I know that you are part of the Moment Skis team then why have I seen you riding some skis that look like K2 skis?

ANSWER: Hey Aiden, I was previously sponsored by K2 so if you had seen me in an older picture maybe that's why. Other than that I have only used Moment's the entire year, if you ever see me feel free to come and ask what there all about, I am usually riding my Pro Model, which I designed and could tell you all about. To be honest Moment has the best skis I have ever been on so you won't find me on anything else. I appreaciate your concern though, happy shredding!
