QUESTION: Hey i am 5 foot and 6 inch what size of skis should i get and what brand do u think
ANSWER: Dear Trevor, This is a really hard question for me to answer over the internet because I dont know what type of sking you are wanting to do, or what level of skier you are. I think it would be best if you went into a shop that sold K2's because they are the best skis that I have skied on and ask someone who works there to help you. They can suggest a ski for you much better in person than I could over the internet. But quick suggestions would be fugative's or public ememies if you are into park and maidenAK's or seth pistols if you are in backcountry. I try to get skis that are just over my height and I usually center mount them or possibly put them an inch back from center. Good Luck, happy hunting.

QUESTION: So ive been trying some corks....but i never seem to land on my feet. Its like they slip right under me. Ive been trying some cork 5s if that helps. I can get the spin down, just the landing. Help me out.
ANSWER: hey mathieu, Try carving a lot it will get you corked earlier which means you can get uncorked earlier and set-up for your landing. Another tip is make sure you tuck your legs in because you will have no chance of landing a cork if your legs are extended. If you are confortable with 720's then a cork 7 may be your best bet, think of the first 3 as a way to get corked and the next 3 tuck in your legs to your chest which will bring your balance more forward and bring you around. To get corked just drop your shoulder a little off the jump (if you spin left, drop left shoulder, if you spin right, drop the right) Good Luck, let me know if you have any trouble's.

QUESTION: hey Bibby got any tips for settin up fakie
ANSWER: shad, im not sure if want to know about fakie take-off's or setting up but both are basic. There are three ways to set-up, start out fakie, or jump up and do a 180 or switch around on the snow as long before the jump as you can and make sure your looking over your lead shoulder when spinning so you can see the jump the whole take-off. For the take-off it is better to be on your edge's because you have less chance of catching edge's and you can see better too. You dont have to learn this way right away you can still take off flat based but its better to be on edge. Just practice carving fakie and you will get more comfortable.

QUESTION: got any tips on a switch up
ANSWER: Switch Up: When you initially lock on to the rail, land and lock on with your skis shifted the direction you are going to switch up. Therefore, they will not be perpendicular with the rail, they will be shifted a bit pointing forward or backward, depending on if you are going to do a frontside or backside switch up. Slide to the point in the rail you are going to switch up at, and hop a small 150 degree spin. You don't need do do a 180 to switch up, because your skis are already shifted a bit towards your spin. It doesn't need to be a huge hop either. The smaller and more subtle it is, the better. Once you get it dialed, invite all the cute girls you know to come an watch, so they can see how sick you are. Good Luck. CR Johnson

QUESTION: Yo what up Bibby im just seriously startin to ski do you have any tricks I could work on?
ANSWER: Hi there Shad from Farmington, One thing to always remember to work on is edge control, I work on it everyday I ski, make sure you can really carve your skis and try different ways to carve around. That way you will feel more comfortable on your skis which will help your style, take off's and landing's. Now for tricks, I am not sure what skill level your at so I will just throw some tricks out there, backflips are fairly neccesary to learn, I would reccomend doing these on a water ramp before snow, the first backflip on snow can be a little tricky. Once you have that and a couple spins you can start working your switch take-off's, try and do tricks that not as many people do, so you stand out more, butter's are fun to do on rolls and around the mountain, and rodeo's are always a good wholesome trick. It's also a good idea to learn to do those tricks both ways, enjoy, good luck.
