QUESTION: i want to do something off axis, probably cork cause i found last year that i could get almost their but i wasnt able to put my feet underneath me. is their any steps before the cork 360 that i should know about other than the regular rotations? is their such thing as a cork 1? and how would you do that
ANSWER: Hey Ryan, The first cork that I learned was a cork 7, cork 7's are easiest to learn how to get your feet back under you. Think of the first 3 as the 360 that gets you corked and during the second part of the trick, 360 to 720, bring your legs in and this will keep your chest forward and bring you back on axis, try that on a trampoline first to give you some confidence. You can also try the cork 3 first if you feel more comfortable with that trick, cork 3's involve a lot of carving so make sure your a strong carver before you go for it. So, set up a nice carve and make sure you take off on your edge's, drop your left shoulder (if you spin left) and that will put you corked, on the last 180 of the trick keep your chest low and forward, that should bring you back to your feet. There are other ways of doing it but I feel that way is the best and it has worked for me. As for the cork 180, check out skimatic! Laurent does a cork 180 about as corked as you can get a 180 I would guess, and he just carved like a crazy man off the take off which is proof carving helps corks, especially for spins like 180,360 and 540 you dont always need to carve for 7's. Hope that helped! good luck gettin' corked.

QUESTION: Hey bibby, how often do you tune your skis and what exactly do you do?
ANSWER: dear misseri, It depends what you are tuning your skis for, obviously for handrails and street stuff you never need to tune your skis unless you have an edge hanging out or something in which case you could just rip it off. For Park skiing I just try and make sure I have the right wax on because it is always easier to ditch speed rather than pick it up. The only time you really need to make sure you have everything tuned on your skis is in the halfpipe, sharper edge's make it easier to climb icy wall's without slipping down and wax of course just helps in general. You can do all of this yourself and save some money, I have learned the hard way that working on your skis just gets rid of one other factor than can screw your comp run up. Good luck and stay tuned.

QUESTION: Do you think i can work out how to correctly land a 360 or a 540 because i always land on the side thank you Bibby
ANSWER: Dear David, So im not sure if you want help on landing sideways or landing on the side of the jump so I can explain both. When learning 360's it is really important to keep your shoulders level, shoulders control almost everything in skiing, if your shoulder's are tilted your going to start to go corked so if you want to do it straight you need to keep them level. Another thing is to set the right amount of spin and you can learn this but doing 180's and then into a switch 180. That will give you the feeling of a 360 and once your have the feeling of how it should go, its going to be a lot easier. Then for 540's, think of doing a 360 but finishing a few feet off the ground, like your doing a 3 onto an invisible platform. This will set you up right for the landing and then once your at 360 you just let yourself drop out into a 540. Then for landing on the side of the jump just try not carving as much or carving in at a different angle. Hope that helps! Let me know if you need any help with anything, thanks for stopping by.
