It has been a crazy last few weeks with a lot of experiences to share and stories to tell, but to sum it up its been great to travel with some fun people. After arriving to Norway and taking our time working our way up north my brother Onie and I experienced Norway for all the blue eyed blond hair we could... Just kidding, as Oslo was rainy and it was mid week, but we managed to have a great time. After a few nights in Oslo, we moved on to a place called Tromso, where we skied for a few days skinning out of the city and hanging out getting over jet lag before we went east to meet the rest of the group.

Arriving in the Tamok Valley, where our group of 24 from seven or so nations would be based was eye opening. The sun was out and the mountains were massive in seemingly every direction. However when we woke up the next morning the clouds and snow moved in and we were blocked for the next three days. However, when the helicopter arrived and we started to explore the area we were able to ski lines that no human had ever been on before. Norway is a country with deep naturalization laws and environmental blocks to activities that use machines in the wild. We acquired a permit to use a helicopter through a local group that is trying to explore the possibility of creating a resort in the area and therefore needed some market research. The area we were flying is unique in many ways, but with avalanche conditions low we were able to lines that changed my perspective of the sport. The locals, who for years have been looking at these mountains as scenery and not areas of recreation were shocked. One said, "I will never look at these mountains again without picturing you skiing down those crazy lines." I logged many first descents and skied some lines that scared many of the locals, as well as myself, but when the snow conditions, light, and many other factors align with an almost mystical insinuation great things happen. This was a trip of a lifetime.

Anyway, after leaving Norway I came to meet a crew from Freeskier and Powder magazines to ski in Switzerland. Two Plank Corey, Tom Winter from Freeskier, Derek Taylor from Powder, and athletes David, Alex, and myself are working our way through the Swiss Alps enjoying everything this place has to offer. So far we have experienced it all with new snow, sun, clouds, sleet, and some fog, but we have been successful after a few days in a place called Lenzerhide, then Davos. and now St. Morits. The conditions have been variable at best, but the laughter has made it a great time. We have one more day here in St. Moritz, where the weather is much like spring in the Rockies, before we take off to St. Anton, Austria for a week of filming. Lets hope the weather cooperates.

More later, but Europe is a trip.
