My Favorite time of the year!
Yes!!! Once again Spring time is here. The birds are chirping and the sun is out and in full effect. The snow has begun to melt, Yet the skiing is just getting started. I love this time of year because the competitions are coming to an end, and my skills are just now hitting their prime. This is the time of year to be free and start having some serious fun on skis. During the spring time sessions I always find myself pushing my limits, and progressing much faster than normal. To me, it's a very inspiring feeling to not have contest on your mind, and to be shredding in 50 degree, blue bird weather, man you can't beat that!(unless their was three feet on the ground). Anyway, the other day I had one of my best days ever on a pair of skis, and I didn't even know it because I was having so much fun. The day started early morning in Squaws parking lot, listening to righteous music, and meeting up with a few of my favorite people to ski with. I met up with my friends Rob Walter, Jonny Marks, JP Solberg, and Stephen Thomas, as well as the Filthy Rich Productions crew. The righteous tunes continued to play in my head as we made our way up. The sun was out and the park was freshly groomed, this day was destined to be full of fun.  we got right into throwing down and filming, shortly after I felt I had done every trick I know, I realized today is the day to learn something new. I decided I wanted to add more rotations, new grabs, and spin the opposite direction. By mid-day I had completely surprised myself, I was throwing tricks with more rotation, with grabs I had never done, and with more confidence than ever. I was also spinning to the left now more comfortably and smoothly, than ever. I feel like this was one of the most progressive days I've ever had, but why?Theirs something about being around good people, in good weather, while listening to good music. You add skiing to the equation, and the sky is the limit. It's these situations where my perma-stoke really kicks in and their is truly no stopping me. God skiing's fun!!
