1.last month i had the opportunity to ski with legendary scott schmidt in interior bc. met up with scott in nelson bc. mixed with hippies, artists, and hardcore skiers, nelson goes off! spent a few days hanging with locals and then moved up to a snowcat/helicopter ski operation called Snow Water.
avalanche danger was running high so the guides kept us in some safe zones were the snow was killer. this area was loaded with the coolest snow ghosts.(rime ice on trees).
spent a few days there and then headed up to revelstoke. classic bc railroad town founded after the railroad punched through rogers pass. this place is set to pop with new development on lift expansion and lodging development. revelstoke is going to have a the largest vertical in north america(6,ooo vt.) it will also be one of the largest helicopter hubs in the world for heli skiing.
bc is such wild country. such a fun road trip. i recommend this for any one who wants to ski big hills, hang with cool locals and experience killer snow.

2. in february i met up with scott schmidt at the yellowstone club in big ski montana. this place is a little different than different. smooth groomers and powder laying around everywhere. scott gave me a full tour of the place and met up with warren miller.
during this time i decided to leave rossignol and move on to stokli swiss skis. stokli gave me a 3 yr deal and an opportunity to make my own pro model. stay tuned for the new stokli ski called 'black magic'.
3. i have always had dreams flying on skis. last spring i purchased a speed kite. speed kite is a small paraglider that is designed to 'touch and go' on the snow. this year i have been practicing at grand targhee, preparing myself to fly bigger slopes. by buddy tony harrington got a couple of shots of me living my dream flying on skis.
